Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026. By using Apprentice Lab you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Apprentice Lab (“Apprentice Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. The Service
Apprentice Lab provides online tools designed to assist users with apprenticeship application preparation, including:
- Psychometric practice tests
- CV building and review tools
- AI-powered mock interviews
- AI-generated feedback and scoring
- Apprenticeship opportunity tracking
- Learning resources and application support tools
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without liability.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your country of residence.
If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4. Account Registration
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your account details current
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access
You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
5. Subscription and Payments
Certain features require a paid subscription.
Subscription fees are displayed at checkout and may be updated from time to time.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe
- You authorise us and our payment provider to charge the applicable subscription fees
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No partial refunds are provided except where required by applicable law
Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of access to paid features.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Upload content you do not have the right to use
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts
- Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or create derivative works from the platform
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the platform
- Share, sell, rent, or transfer your account to another person
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service without permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload, submit, or create through the service, including:
- CVs
- Cover letters
- Assessment responses
- Interview recordings
- Interview transcripts
You grant Apprentice Lab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and analyse your content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have permission to use all content you submit.
- Your content does not infringe the rights of others.
- Your content does not violate any applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
The Apprentice Lab platform, software, branding, design, content, and underlying technology are owned by Apprentice Lab or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the service without prior written permission.
9. AI-Generated Feedback
Apprentice Lab uses artificial intelligence technologies to generate feedback, interview analysis, scoring, recommendations, and other outputs.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated.
- Feedback is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
- Outputs should not be considered professional, legal, recruitment, employment, financial, educational, or career advice.
- Apprentice Lab does not guarantee the accuracy or usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
- Apprentice Lab does not guarantee apprenticeship offers, interviews, assessments, or employment outcomes.
You remain solely responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated outputs.
10. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Apprentice Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Apprentice Lab shall not be liable for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
- Apprentice Lab shall not be liable for decisions made by users based on AI-generated feedback.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Apprentice Lab during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Apprentice Lab, its owners, officers, contractors, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You breach these Terms
- We reasonably believe your use presents a security, legal, or operational risk
- Required by law
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before termination.
14. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
